About SiteReceipt

Clear evidence for small website changes

SiteReceipt is a browser-based visual review tool from RION Co., Ltd. It helps people turn two screenshots into a more useful conversation about what changed.

Why we built SiteReceipt

Website work often ends with two screenshots in a message thread and a question: “Does this look right?” The images show a difference, but they rarely preserve the viewport, page state, expected changes, or final decision. A week later, the same thread is difficult to interpret.

SiteReceipt gives that moment a clearer structure. You choose a before and after image, inspect visible differences locally in the browser, and use the result to prepare a review record. The tool is intentionally focused. It does not crawl a site, modify a page, or decide whether a change is acceptable.

Product principles

Keep screenshot contents local

Selected images are decoded and compared in the browser rather than sent to SiteReceipt for server-side comparison. This design reduces needless transmission of screenshots that may contain internal or unreleased UI. Users still need to choose authorized files and handle downloads safely.

Explain the limits beside the result

Pixel comparison is useful and narrow. It can reveal visible changes in one captured state. It cannot verify behavior, accessibility, security, intent, or every responsive size. Our methodology describes those boundaries so the output is not mistaken for a universal quality score.

Help a person make the decision

SiteReceipt does not assign severity or approval. The reviewer brings the requirement and context. The product’s job is to make the evidence easier to inspect and explain.

How our guides are written

SiteReceipt guides are written for designers, developers, QA reviewers, product owners, and agencies who need a practical visual-review process. Each guide follows these standards:

  • describe a repeatable method and the conditions that affect the result;
  • use specific worked examples instead of invented success claims;
  • state limitations and alternate checks where screenshots are weak;
  • avoid unsupported performance, accuracy, or revenue figures;
  • distinguish product behavior from general workflow advice;
  • show a review date so substantive updates can be tracked.

Advertising, if introduced, will not determine a guide’s conclusion or turn paid placement into an editorial recommendation. Material commercial relationships will be labeled. Corrections and questions can be sent to the contact address below.
